The Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu (TNRS) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre present, as a preview of the 32nd edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS), the world premiere of Iona by Marin Sorescu, directed by Silviu Purcărete, starring Japanese actor Kuranosuke Sasaki in the leading role. Following its premiere in Sibiu, the production will be presented in Budapest, Sofia, Chișinău, Bucharest, and Cluj-Napoca.

This production is the result of a remarkable collaboration between the Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu and the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, featuring in the leading role Kuranosuke Sasaki—a true legend of Japanese theatre.
