“Communication, Improvisation and… AI: What Makes Us Human?” – TNRS Actors Organize Weekly Workshops with High School Students

The “Radu Stanca” National Theatre Sibiu organizes weekly, as part of the EduTNRS program, the workshop “Communication, Improvisation and… AI: What Makes Us Human?”, dedicated to high school students.

Coordinated by TNRS actress Serenela Mureșan, the workshops offer students an interactive experience in which theatre becomes a tool for exploring the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence.

“Over time, I have had numerous meetings and readings with students, and these experiences have made me want to explore very current topics that concern them directly.
During the workshop Communication, Improvisation and… AI: What Makes Us Human?, we try to rediscover together empathy, authenticity, intention and critical thinking. We experiment with nonverbal communication and its subtleties, because theatre helps us understand that beyond words there is emotion, presence and a real connection with others. I believe that young people greatly need such spaces where they can express themselves freely, ask questions and discover what truly makes us human.”
— Serenela Mureșan, actress at the “Radu Stanca” National Theatre Sibiu

At each meeting, an actor or director of the Sibiu National Theatre is invited. Among the directors and actors who have already met or will soon meet with young people from Sibiu are directors Mariana Cămărășan and Bogdan Sărătean, as well as actors Cristina Stoleiu, Mihai Coman, and Gabriela Pîrlițeanu.

Designed to address young audiences, EduTNRS is an initiative of the Sibiu National Theatre that aims to foster dialogue between artists and future generations. In order to encourage open discussion, the TNRS team of actors invites participants interested in culture, education, and the performing arts to take part in a series of events centered on contemporary themes, including interactive readings, poetry recitals, and theatre-based personal development workshops.
